Colour coding to BS 1710.

BS 1710 specifies the colours for

identification of pipelines conveying fluids in

above ground installations and on board

ships.  Where identification is necessary the

pipe should be marked with three colour

bands. The two outer bands are the basic

identification colour for the particular group

of substances (e.g. Green for Water).  The

inner band shall be either one or a

combination of colours to identify the exact

substance being carried by the pipe.

8.1 Combining colour tapes for pipeline marking.

Single colour tapes can be used alongside our other pipe marking systems to create unique colour

coding or to match on-site and industry standards.
